Koichi Takada Book Redesign
TYPOGRAPHY | BOOK COVER | ABSTRACT ILLUSTRATION
To redesign Koichi Takada: Architecture, Nature and Design book cover, I wanted to reflect better the architect's sustainable, nature-inspired designs, and Japanese cultural influences. His original book cover, while minimalist, lacked representation of his innovative architectural style and values. My approach incorporated organic forms and dynamic, kinetic lines inspired by his architectural works, creating a more engaging and expressive visual composition.
To honor Takada’s Japanese heritage, I integrated Japanese-inspired typography and stylistic elements that align with his identity. The abstract forms on the cover symbolize the natural and fluid designs central to his work, resulting in a cover that not only captures his style but also communicates his philosophy.
